Chairman's Report

Running a credit union is hard; the constant changes in legislature, rules and regulations, not to mention the unknown forecast from the new Presidential election, and the aggressive changes being made at Capitol Hill will evidentially affect the operations of your credit union as well as all other financial institutions.

Everything we do is governed by the political environment, rules and regulations. We partner with the Maine Credit Union League, TruStage and NCUA to stay on top of changes being made, and offer our opinions when new bills come into play that will affect you, our members.

Big changes are coming, and no one knows what the future holds—but one thing you can be sure of is that the entire Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and your entire team at Capital Area will continue to work for you, our members and stay with our philosophy of People Helping People the credit union way.

Thank you to the entire Board, Supervisory Committee and the entire team for meeting all the challenges at arise and providing great member service. We are proud to be a part of this community in which we live and serve.
